In Lord Master’s new EP, Bermudas, the boundaries of the human psyche and those of one of history’s most baffling nautical mysteries play at each other like sunlight on the surface of water. Dive into the tracks on this EP and see where it takes you. In New Age of Remembrance, one can imagine the existential thrill of moving from a place of darkness to a brighter future. Entombed, on the surface a song about being buried alive, asks you to consider whether you might already be dead. In Pit of Doom, our daily trials and tribulations are minimized by the larger question of whether we might just be on a one-way crash course into the sucking maw of a black hole. But like the mysterious waters of the Bermuda Triangle itself, nothing is as it seems. In the title track, Bermudas, this hurtling toward the dark unknown might be better seen as your bold turn away from a fate that is not serving you, into the potentially thrilling adventure of the unknown. Your flight awaits you - and it’s refill time.
